Meditation

In ancient times, sages and common public used various techniques to cleanse themselves internally and connect with the eternal energy and create an aura of purity and invoke happiness in them. Reiki and meditation can both bring peace, serenity, and relief, but each form of art goes about doing so in its own special way to heal people.

The ancient Japanese healing technique of Reiki involves “life force energy” that flows freely through a Reiki master or practitioner into your being, when they lay his or her hands on different parts of your body to infuse those parts with life force energy. One can learn Reiki through books  also but learning it from a Reiki Master enhances your ability to heal better. The passing on of abilities is known as “attunement”. The overall purpose is typically to enhance health, well-being and promote healing, be it for self-healing or others.

Meditation on the other hand, is a state of profound peace where the mind is alert yet still, or what can be called a state of “thoughtless awareness.” While your mind is totally aware of the present moment, it’s completely devoid of all the restless thoughts that typically go through your head. Just like Reiki, one can learn meditation by reading books or watching videos but learning it from a "Spiritual Guru" is like when somebody pulls you up from a well, a top-down approach instead of being in the well and trying to get out of the well all by your selves.

Reiki and meditation together can enhance you abilities and make you feel the best of both worlds and work towards the overall purpose to relieve stress, improve quality of life and attain a higher spiritual awareness.
